What are the Different Types of Hysteroscopy Techniques?

At Yellow IVF, we specialise in performing 2 types of hysteroscopy procedures: diagnostic hysteroscopy and operative hysteroscopy. As the name implies, diagnostic hysteroscopy helps to get a clear view of the uterine lining and identify abnormalities, if any. Being a painless procedure, it is often done without anaesthesia. In case something is found during the diagnosis, a fibroid or a polyp, it is treated instantly. In that case, the process is known as operative hysteroscopy. Surgical tools are passed through the hysteroscope to remove any malformation, avoiding the need for any traditional surgery.

What are the Benefits of Opting For a Hysteroscopy Procedure?

If you have tried other reproductive tests and still do not have any answer, hysteroscopy might help fill in the gaps. Here are some of its benefits:

The test provides a real-time view of the uterus

This non-invasive procedure does not require a hospital stay

It can increase fertility success, especially before IVF or IUI

It often resolves issues immediately during the same procedure

Recovery after hysteroscopy treatment is usually fast.
